Say hola to a taste of Mexico as vegan brand Oumph! and Chiquitos team up

Oumph! has partnered with restaurant chain, Chiquitos for the launch of a Vegan Burrito Bowl that is set to be exclusively available in Iceland stores

Plant-based, Mexican food is something we dream of and Chiquito’s Vegan Burrito Bowl covers all the best bits. Including a tortilla filled with vegetable basmati rice, bean chilli sauce, Oumph! soya protein with salt and smoky flavouring, all topped with salsa, jalapenos and crushed tortilla chips for added crunch.

This dish is being advertised as ideal for busy vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians who are looking for a plant-based and restaurant-quality dinner or snack; a Mexican fiesta for sharing with your friends or for those moments when nothing but immediate Mexican delights will do.

AndersLinden, Oumph! Co-Founder, Corporate Chef and Head of Innovation, a LiveKindly Collective brand, said: “This dish is perfect for those trying to cut down on meat, who don’t want to miss out on feasts with friends and delicious dinners, we are really proud of this new dish, and look forward to bringing restaurant-quality plant-based Mexican food to the high street!”

Andrew Staniland, Iceland Foods Trading Director, added: “Since launch, the Chiquito Vegan Burrito Bowl is out-performing against our initial forecasts, with some incredibly encouraging reviews from customers both in-store and online.”

Available to purchase now, Oumph! fans can find the Vegan Burrito Bowls in the bright green packaging in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores across the UK. Each product retails at £4.00 for a 450g bowl.
